Dunkeld, Birnam & Local Area

Here in Dunkeld & Birnam are we are lucky to have such a scenic location, there are many glorious walks & woodland trails, including the Hermitage with its huge trees and waterfalls & or a walk to see the ancient Birnam Oak along the banks of the mighty Tay.

Water sports on some of the surrounding lochs and rivers are also popular, including kayaking, paddle-boarding and canyoning are all available - and there are so many great spots for wild swimming.

The area is also popular with cyclists, whether you prefer weaving along a country road, or whizzing down some great mountain bike trails – Atholl Woods, Birnam Hill and Craigvinean Forest are all within easy reach from Willowbank.

If shopping is what you are looking for there are a variety of independent stores on Atholl Street, and further afield in the neighbouring towns of Pitlochry & Aberfeldy - not forgetting the renowned House of Bruar - known as the 'Harrods of the North' - only a 20-minute drive away, and a place where you can easily spend a few hours browsing and enjoying the restaurant.
